Liability Release Form: Please Read and Sign

  1. In signing this agreement, I hear by release Pioneer Days Fishing, it’s officers, agents, employees, and sponsors from any and all damages, claims, demands, cost or expenses relating to injury of any person(s) or any property, which I may sustain or which I may cause by reason of participating in or in connection with this tournament event.
  2. Covenant not to sue and Waiver of Subrogation: I further agree that I will never sue Pioneer Days for damages on account of any injury or damage I suffer or cause whether known now or which may develop in the future. In the event Pioneer Days is sued because of my actions, I expressly agree to indemnify and hold Pioneer Days harmless from any liability whatsoever, including court cost and attorney’s fee, arising with respect to such actions. I understand that in waiving my rights to sue Pioneer Days I am waiving my rights of recovery from Pioneer Days of my Insurance carrier for any claims they may pay on my behalf. I further understand that by signing this agreement I waive any rights my heirs or relatives have or may have to sue Pioneer Days for liability.
  3. Verification of Liability Insurance: I state that I maintain liability insurance on the boat I will use in this event.
  4. Truth Verification: Polygraph or truth verification may be given at ant time at the discretion of the officers of Pioneer Days. Refusal or failure of polygraph or truth verification will automatically eliminate team members’ participation from all Pioneer Day events.
  5. I signify by my signature that I have read, understand and agree to abide by all rules and regulations and decisions set forth by Pioneer Days tournament officials.

Rules & Regulations

 

***   Captains meeting at ramp to be held 15 min before launch time.

***   Entry Fee will be $ 65.00 per boat, includes Big Fish Pot to be paid at ramp.

***   Pay out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and Big Bass.

***   Launch numbers will be assigned when the entries are received.

***   Boat Check & Inspection: You will have to get your boat inspected before the tournament starts. All boats are to be checked and tagged prior to launch, it is the boaters responsibility to get a boat check by tournament official, boats will be marked with ribbon, failure to get a boat check may result in disqualification for the days tournament.

***   Eligibility: Any person age 17 or under must be a team partner with a parent or a person age               18 or older. Persons under 18 must have the signature of his/her parent or legal guardian on                  entry form.

***   Fish Care: All contestants must use care in handling and keeping fish alive for release after weigh-in. All fish will be brought to the weigh master in plastic bags with enough water to keep the fish covered until weigh-in. A tournament limit will be (5) fish, 14” or over, measured on the Golden Rule with the mouth closed and the tail compressed (pinched) in accordance with state law. No culling of dead fish. No culling at ramp or in parking lot. No retaining bass in live well and not weighing those fish, this is the same as culling at the ramp. If a team brings a short fish or (2) fish over (22”) to weigh-in the team will be disqualified. A .25 deduction for each dead fish.

***   There will be no courtesy measurements.

***   Emergency or Break Down: Any Team that experiences mechanical break down during tournament hours may transport fish to weigh-in with another competitors boat. Fish must be marked with culling kit, or equivalent, before entering transportation boat. Fish markers will be removed at scales. (NO fishing from the rescue boat)

***   BIG Bass: All fish in consideration for Big Bass, or special programs must be weighed alive, (Any fish that fails to demonstrate the ability to remain upright & swim off on it’s own power will be checked using the gag reflex method. A finger will be inserted in the fish’s throat to check for a gag reaction. Any fish in question that fails this test will be determined to be dead. Decision of the Tournament Director at the scales is final. Any fish called live at scales that fails to swim off when released will not affect the call made at the scales, and no penalty will be assessed.

***   Fishing Area: No wading is allowed and only artificial baits only may be used. Pole platforms may not be used during tournament competition.

***   Fishing Rods: Anglers may only use 1 rod at a time during tournament competition. No rods               over 8’ are allowed. NO TROLLING ALLOWED.

 

***   Sight Fishing: While sight-fishing, any bass caught must be caught in the mouth, any fish foul hooked outside of the mouth area is to be returned to the water immediately, NO Snagging Allowed.

 

***   Weather Delay: The tournament board reserves the right to postpone launch due to weather or other emergency situations as they see fit.

***   Cell Phones & Radios: The use of cell phones or any other attempt to pass along fishing info to other anglers during tournament hours is prohibited & doing so will result in disqualification .  No cameras or other electronic tracking devices may be used during tournament competition.

***   Distance from another Angler: Anglers must keep a distance equal to 2 casting lengths from other boats, with or without permission from fellow anglers, and 50 yards away from any boat anchored with trolling motor up. Anglers may not block any waterway to prevent anglers from passing.

***   Sportsmanship: Any angler who conducts himself in an un sportsman like manner, or who conducts himself in a manner that is detrimental to the sport of bass fishing may be disqualified or banned from competition. This will be at the discretion of the tournament board.

***   Life Jackets & Safety: All anglers are to practice safe boating, life vest must be worn while boat is on plane, anglers are to obey all navigational signs, Any angler who receives any citation while on the water will be disqualified for the days tournament.

***   Team Check-In: Any team checking in after his announced check-in time will be disqualified. Anyone who departs early needs to tell someone at the trailer before you depart.

***   Drugs or Alcohol: The use of drugs or alcohol during official tournament hours will result in               disqualification.

***   Protest: Any protest for disqualification must be presented to the tournament director in writing within 5 minutes of weigh in. Tournament board will review all protests and rule accordingly. Decision of the tournament director is final.

***   Disqualification may only occur before start, during, or immediately following the event. Proper notification must follow guidelines of protest.
